一:teaching aims and demands:
1.      the students can read and understand the passage , finish the sentences and answer the questions. then they can say something about their weekends.
2.      let"s play：the students can ask and answer :what did you do last weekend? i watched tv/…..

1.      the important points:
the students can read and understand the passage and say something about their activities last weekend.
2.      the diffcult points:
the word: was
the past tense of the verb phrases. 
三:teaching tools:
 computer, the word cards, four tables of the survey.
四:teaching steps:
step1:preperation:
1.      introduction:
2.      sing the song: at the zoo.(设计意图：快速热身，使学生进入英语学习氛围)
3.      free talk:
from the song, we know that mike went to the zoo last weekend.let’s share your weekends.
hello! boys and girls !what’s your name?nice to meet you!/how are you?
what did you do last weekend?
4.      guess the pictures:课件出示图片
you all did many things. several people did many things too. look at the screen, guess and say:what did he/she do ?
5.      let’s play: conan makes a survey.柯南断案
these people were very busy. conan was busy too. because last weekend, someone lost his bag. so conan comes here and wants to make a survey. he wants to know:what did you do last weekend? lets’ play it in groups. one student is conan, he asks the other students: what did you do last weekend? with whom? where?

step3：in-reading：
1.      general reading:
read the passage quickly and silently, then tick or cross.

2.      detailed reading:
read the passage again carefully and answer the question:what did wu yifan do last weekend?
（设计意图：培养学生获取信息、处理信息的能力）
3.      read and write: finish the sentences ingroups.12
wu yifan was so busy. he did many things. can you write them down? let’s finish the sentences on your books.please make sure that your writing is right and beautiful.
4.listen to the tape. (1) look at the screen, listen carefully.
                (2) listen and repeat.听录音模仿语音语调。
5.read aloud.
share the reading methods:you can read the passage in groups. but how to read the passage well and quickly? before you read, let’s enjoy something about the reading methods.
ask the students to read the passage in groups by using the reading methods.

step4:post-reading:
1.analyse wu yifan’s weekend together .
2.ask the students to retell the passage .

step5:progress:
1.      show the teacher’s last weekend.
2.      ask the students to talk about their last weekend or their partner’s last weekend in groups.  then ask two or three students to say something about the last weekend.
3.      sum-up.

homework:
see a video together:yesterday today and tomorrow
please imagine:what did zhao benshan do yesterday? then talk about it in groups next class.
