第一课时：
一、教学目标与要求
1．能够听、说、认读动词词组empty the trash和句子“i"m helpful! i can sweep the floor．”
2．能够听、说、读、写动词词组cook the meals, water the flowers, sweep the floor, clean the bedroom。
3．能够听懂、说唱歌谣“dog, dog, what can you do?”，并初步掌握句型：what can you do? i can ....
二、教学重、难点分析
1．本课时教学重点是有关家务劳动的五个动词词组。
2．本课时教学难点是四个动词词组的书写以及运用句型“i can ....”进行表述。
三、课前准备
1．教师准备录音机及录音带。
2．教师准备let"s learn 部分的动作词卡。
3．教师准备两个充气锤。
四、教学步骤和建议
1．热身（warm-up）
教师放三年级上册第二单元c部分的歌曲“colour song”，全班学生一齐表演唱。建议教师将全班学生分为7组，每个小组分别代表一种颜色。如可能，可以根据学生当天穿的衣服颜色分组，如穿黄色衣服的学生就代表黄色。歌曲开始，每唱到一种颜色，代表该颜色的小组就起立并拍手，唱到“i can sing a rainbow.”时，学生可以用适当的身体语言表现彩虹的形态。
2．预习（preview）
教师放四年级上册第一单元a部分let"s do 的录音，学生边说边做相应的动作。
let"s start
t: how many doors / lights / boards / ... can you see?
s: i can see ....
让学生看let"s start 部分挂图。
t: how many birds / kangaroos /... can you see? what can they do?
教师引导学生作出回答。
t: i can clean the board．what can you do?
教师引导学生用“i can ....”回答，并鼓励学生说出尽量多地运用已学动词（词组）。
3．新课呈现（presentation）
let"s learn
（1）教师在黑板上画一些花，边说：i can draw flowers．教师边做浇花的动作连说：look! i can water the flowers．i"m helpful! 同时板书：i"m helpful! i can water the flowers．再问学生：can you? 引导学生作出回答。教师指导学生拼读单词“water, flower”。
（2）教师边做擦桌椅的动作边说：i can clean the desk．i can clean the chair．指导学生练习：“i can clean the .... ”然后教师拿出“clean the bedroom”的词卡，说：“i can clean the bedroom.教学“clean the bedroom”,板书并拼读。
（3）教师画简笔画：一把扫帚、一个锅和一个垃圾桶, 依次教学并板书：sweep the floor, cook the meals, empty the trash”。然后教师出示动作词卡，学生快速认读。
（4）充气锤游戏。请两名学生上台，教师说一个动词词组，一名学生用充气锤敲黑板上相应的图画，另一名学生敲词组，看谁反应快。
（5）学生听录音跟读let"s learn部分的词汇，同时指出相应的图画或做出相应的动作。
（6）教师问：boys and girls, what can you do? 学生看板书齐说：i"m helpful! i can .... 然后同桌一起开火车操练句型。
（7）做“刮鼻子”游戏：学生四人一组，依次说：i"m helpful! i can .... 每个人说的句子不能与前面说过的重复，说不出新句子或者说错的学生就要被刮鼻子。
（8）做“猜一猜”游戏。全班学生分成几组，教师请几名学生轮流上台表演扫地、擦桌子等各种动作，台下学生说出相应的动词词组，猜对的小组得分，看哪个小组得分最高。1234

（1）教师放let"s chant 部分的歌谣，学生听录音边做动作边说唱歌谣。然后，全班学生分成五组，每组扮演一个角色，分角色说唱歌谣。
（2）教师根据歌谣的内容任意向各组提问：snake, snake, what can you do? 被问到的小组派代表迅速回答：i can .... 答对即可得分，最后得分最高的小组获胜。
4．巩固和延伸（consolidation and extension）
（1）教师示范书写sweep the floor, cook the meals, clean the bedroom, water the flowers，学生仿写。
（2）让学生做本单元a let"s learn 部分的活动手册配套练习。
（3）让学生听let"s chant, let"s learn部分的录音，读给家长或同伴听。
（4）让学生每天在家中做适量的家务劳动，并用英语进行表达。

第二课时：
一、教学目标与要求
1．能够听懂、会说：are you helpful at home, chen jie? what can you do? i can sweep the floor．you"re helpful! 并能在情景中运用。
2．能够听懂、会唱歌曲“i can help”。
二、教学重、难点分析
1．本课时教学重点是句型“what can you do? i can ....”
2．本课时教学难点是句子“are you helpful at home?”以及在实际情景中正确运用所学会话。
三、课前准备
1．教师准备录音机及录音带。
2．教师准备四年级上册第四单元不同房间的词卡。
3．教师准备狗、熊猫、老鼠、mike 的头饰和一张母亲节日历。
四、教学步骤和建议
1．热身（warm-up）
教师放四年级上册a部分let"s do的录音，适时出示各房间词卡，学生边说边做相应的动作。
2．预习（preview）
（1）教师放let"s chant 部分歌谣的录音，学生边说边表演。然后请四名学生上台，分别戴好狗、熊猫、老鼠和mike的头饰，台下的学生提问，台上的学生分别回答。
（2）教师说：the dog can run．the bird can fly．the squirrel can jump．they"re helpful．i"m helpful, too．i can sing and play ping-pong．i can clean the bedroom．are you helpful? what can you do?　引导学生给出尽量多的回答。
（3）学生听录音，跟读let"s learn 部分的词汇并拼读、仿写。
（4）教师做浇花、倒垃圾等动作，学生猜词组。
3．新课呈现（presentation）
let"s try
（1）学生听录音，做let"s try部分的练习“listen and tick or cross”。
录音内容如下：
grandma: what can you do，mike?
   mike: i can sweep the floor．i can cook the meals．i can clean the bedroom．and i can water the flowers．
grandma: great! you"re helpful!
（2） 教师说：mike is helpful at home．are you helpful at home? what can you do? 请学生两人一组进行问答操练。
let"s talk
（1） 教师放let"s talk 部分的录音，学生听录音跟读。然后进行替换练习。
（2）教师出示一张日历，上面写着：mother"s day，教师问：what day is today? 学生回答后，教师说：the second sunday in may is mother"s day．what can you do for your mother on mother day?同桌学生一起准备一段母亲节里帮妈妈做家务的对话。例如：
s1: today is mother"s day, mom．happy mother"s day! let me help you．
s2: what can you do, good boy/girl?1234

group work
（1）学生打开学生用书，翻到第47页，在规定时间内进行四人小组内或更大范围内的调查并按要求做好记录。如果时间允许，还可以让几名学生向全班汇报调查结果，如：amy can sweep the floor, cook the meal, empty the trash. 教师还可再设计一张类似的调查表，调查学生在学校能做什么劳动。
（2）做“背靠背”游戏：让两名学生上台背靠背，每人拿一张动作词卡，不要让对方看见，边说“one two three!”边各向前走三步，同时转身向对方展示自己手中的词卡，看谁先读出对方的词组。
let"s sing
教师放“i can help”录音，第一遍，学生仔细听录音，理解歌词的含义并熟悉歌曲的曲调。第二遍，学生跟录音学唱，然后在教师带领下表演唱。教师注意解释“clothes, dishes”和”there is so much i can do．now i ask you．”的意思并领读。学生学会后，可采用男女生分组联唱的形式，男生唱完第一遍后大声问：what can you do? 女生紧接着唱第二遍。若要降低难度，教师可参考下面的歌词：i can set the table．i can sweep the floor．i can wash my clothes．i can wash my face．i can water the flowers．i can clean the bedroom．i can empty the trash．i can cook the meals．
4．巩固和延伸（consolidation and extension）
（1）让学生做本单元a let"s talk 部分的活动手册配套练习。
（2）让学生听let"s learn, let"s talk部分的录音，读给家长或同伴听。
（3）让学生坚持每天帮父母做适量的家务，并用英语表达。

第三课时：
一、教学目标与要求
1．能够听、说、读、写句型：what can you do? i can sweep the floor．
2．能够听、说、认读句子：mother goat is ill．we can help．just do it．
3．能够总结字母组合or, all, pl, pr 的发音规律，并能朗读pronunciation部分的例词。
4．能够听懂、理解story time 中的故事。
二、教学重、难点分析
1．本课时的教学重点是四会掌握句型：what can you do? i can ....
2．本课时的教学难点是能正确拼写四会句型。
三、课前准备
1．教师准备录音机及录音带。
2．教师准备let"s learn的动作词卡和a部分read and write 的挂图。
3．教师准备pronunciation部分的挂图和单词卡片。
4．学生准备let"s learn部分的动作词卡。
5．学生准备相关的头饰。
四、教学步骤和建议
1．热身（warm-up）
（1）教师放歌曲“i can help”，学生听录音进行表演唱、男女生对唱。
（2）教师放歌谣“dog, dog, what can you do?”, 学生跟录音有节奏地说唱。
2．预习（preview）
（1）教师依次出示let"s learn 部分的动词词卡，学生认读并拼写。
（2）做“少了什么？”游戏：教师从五张词卡中抽掉一张，问学生：what"s missing?请学生拿掉的那张卡片上的动词词组。
（3）教师放a let"s talk部分的录音，学生跟读，然后同桌之间进行问答操练。
3．新课呈现（presentation）
read and write
（1）教师出示a部分 read and write 的挂图，手指图中的羊妈妈说：look! this is mother goat. she is ill．let"s help her. what can you do? 引导学生进行回答。1234
（2）教师板书本课四会句型：what can you do? i can .... 学生拼读、仿写。
（3）教师说：mother goat is ill．zoom, zip, monkey, rabbit are helping her．they"re helpful．what can the monkey do? what can the rabbit so? what can zip do? what can zoom do?学生看课本听read and write 部分的录音。
（4）学生就不懂的地方提问，教师做必要的解释。
（5）教师再放一遍录音，然后指导学生完成“finish the sentences”的练习。
（6）教师指导学生进行四会句子的书写。

（1）学生三人一组，将动作词卡面朝下放在桌上，两名学生问第三名学生：..., ..., what can you do? 该学生翻开一张词卡，根据词卡上的短语作出回答：i can .... 问问题的两名学生根据实际情况：yes, you can．/no, you can"t．
（2）将全班分成两组，根据游戏的内容进行问答练习，下面的内容供参考：
amy, amy, what can you do? amy, amy, what can you do?
i can sweep the floor．i can sweep the floor．
yes, yes, yes, you can．yes, yes, you"re helpful!
john, john, what can you do? john, john, what can you do?

pronnunciation
教师出示 pronunciation部分的挂图，带领学生认读or的例词：short, fork, horse, sport,指导学生归纳or的发音规律。教师示范朗读句子：a short horse wore orange shorts．学生试着跟录音朗读。用类似方法教学all, pl, pr的发音规律。

教师向学生展示story time 部分的挂图，分别指着图中的蛇和青蛙问：what"s this? 引导学生作出回答：yes, it"s a snake / frog do? now let"s see. 教师放该部分的录音，学生翻开学生用书边听录音边读故事。教师问学生：what can the frog do? 教师再放一遍录音，让学生带着问题再看一遍故事。教师检查学生的理解情况，问：can the frog sing? can he dance? can he swim? 引导学生作出回答。然后，学生分小组表演故事。
4．巩固和延伸（consolidation and extension）
（1）让学生做本单元a read and write 部分的活动手册配套练习。
（2）让学生听a部分的录音，读给家长或同伴听。
