教学目标：
1.能正确地听、说、读、写词汇a star,a square,a diamond,a rectangle,
a triangle,a circle。
2.能正确地听、说、读、写句型what shape is the …?it’s a …
3.使学生学会灵活运用新知识，很好地完成交际任务。
教学重点：能正确理解、掌握新词汇和句型，并能运用表演。
教学难点：能正确运用形状名词解决问题。
教具准备：vcd、小黑板、彩色图片、单词挂板、音标挂板、单词彩色卡、日历牌、星棒
教学准备：学生练习纸（a.do a survey.b.look,find and write）、
学习歌曲《《twinkle  twinkle,little stars》、学生准备各种形状日用品。

教学过程：
step 1.warming up
1.watch tv:《jingle bell》
2.sing a song:《twinkle  twinkle,little stars》

step 2.revision and presentation 
1.free talk.
2.talk about the objects ,and teach the new words and sentences:
shape  →what shape is the …?
               it’s a …
a star  (音标卡)读写音标；
          (单词卡)对应音标师生书写单词。   
3.read and say.
4.chant.
shape,shape,what shape;star, star,it’s a star.
5.practice:学生利用自己的物品进行说话。
6.learn to say “a square” and pratice in the same way.
7.teach the  new words,then practice.

设计思路：
    本课时主要内容为学习图形，但如何将枯燥的知识转化成为大量的语言实践活动，并最终成为使学生能用英语进行交际的技能课，这成为我首要考虑的问题。因此我借助学生很喜欢的“圣诞节”来设计课堂活动，让学生有选择地带来各种物品，预先制作圣诞卡，学唱歌曲，并把教室布置得充满圣诞气氛，甚至板书都围绕此设计。 12
    在整个课堂教学中，我从学生身边物品入手，运用不同的手段新授知识，让学生学会运用所学新知来描述自己手边物品。在教学中采用“猜猜、说说、唱唱”等活动形式，特别是任务驱动式的巩固性练习，让学生在活动中再学习、更巩固，引导学生主动参与、主动探索、主动思考、主动实践，学生在合作性学习的过程中，他们的语言综合能力得到了提高。
    同时在学生学习活动中，我关注每个 学生的情感，激发他们学习 英语的兴趣，使他们在学习过程中发展综合语言运用能力，增强实践能力。
