teaching aims: 1. know some names of subjects and activities.
2. use the simple present tense to express interests.
focus: use the simple present tense to express interests.
what subjects does peter like ?
he likes english .
what does he like doing?
he likes reading and writing .
audio—visual aids: big book. wall picture ; flash cards. electronic book.
teaching procedures:
ⅰ.warm up
sing some songs and do some actions.
e.g. rose come , rose go.
ⅱ.new lesson
1. play a game
the teacher does some actions and encourages the students to guess:
what actions are they?
the students learn the new words : thinking and painting by guessing these actions.
at the same time ,let the students revise the words: reading , writing, running, jumping, singing.
2. ask and answer
(after reading these words ,)
t: what do you like doing, john?
j: i like running and singing.
t: ( ask another students)
what does john like doing?
(help the students answer_
s: he likes running and singing .
3. group work
ask the students to have group work in three like this:
what do you like doing?
i like reading.
what does he like doing?
he likes reading.
(then the teacher checks the students’ work.)
4. talk about the picture
look at the picture of part a , ask and answer like this:
t: look at peter! what does peter like doing ?
s: he likes reading and writing.
t: look at sally! what does sally likes doing?
s: she likes thinking.
