【教学内容】
湖南少年儿童出版社、《义务教育课程标准实验教科书•英语》（四年级下册） 第八单元

【教学时数】
本单元教学时数为三课时

【学情分析】
本单元教学对象为四年级学生。本套教材每单元的连贯性不是很大，每单元都是一个独立的话题，很适宜采取单元整体教学来提高单位时间的教学效率。学生之前已经接触过几个与天气有关的单词，老师在课堂的日常会话中也经常用英语询问天气，学生对what’s the weather like…? 这个句子并不陌生，部分学生也能作出相应的回答。

【教学目标】
1、单元教学目标
（1）认知目标：能听懂、会读、会说和拼写单词四会单词：weather ,spring, summer, autumn, winter.
（2）能力目标：能够使用句型能够使用句型  i like spring . spring is nice and warm . it’s clod in winter. 描述四季及天气。能够使用句型what’s the weather like…? 进行语言交际。
（3）情感目标：通过创新教学方法，提高学生学习英语的兴趣；培养学生注意观察，认真模仿的良好习惯。培养学生热爱自然、热爱生活的品质。结合学习内容，培养学生的表现力，养成学生爱思考的良好习惯。
2、第一课时教学目标
（1）能听懂、会读、会说和拼写单词四会单词：weather ,spring, summer, autumn, winter.
（2）能在图片的帮助下运用重点句型“i like spring . spring is nice and warm . it’s clod in winter.” 描述四季及天气。能够使用句型what’s the weather like…? 进行语言交际。并能由此拓展进行交流。

3、第二课时教学目标

⒈ 能更进一步掌握新单词；

⒉ 能熟练地运用本课描述四季及不同天气的句型自由谈论天气情况；能谈论自己喜欢的季节，激发学生热爱自然、热爱生活的品质 。
⒊  能听懂、读懂listen , read and act中的课文，并表演出来。

4  能阅读并理解课文d部分。
4、第三课时教学目标
⒈ 能掌握字母组合au在单词中的发音，并能理解和读出新单词；
⒉ 能读出由含有字母组合au的单词组成的句子；
⒊ 能诵读英语小歌谣；抒发对大自然的热爱之情。
⒋ 培养学生学习英语的兴趣，同时规范、训练口语。

【教学重点】
1、词汇
weather，spring，summer，autumn，winter
2、句型：
  spring is warm and nice.
it’s clod in winter.
what’s the weather like…?

【教学难点】
理解并区分“what’s the weather like today?”和“what’s the weather like in spring/autumn/…?”的含义，并正确回答。

【教学过程】

第一课时
活动设计：
step 1 warming up
⒈ 师生问候
⒉ 唱英语歌曲“how is the weather.” (让学生进入学习英语的状态。)
⒊ask and answer 
t：  how are you today !     s ： fine thank you ,and you?
     t：  what day is it today ?  s ： it’s ….12345
     t: (老师边表演边提问) what’s the weather like today ?

 t:  who can act and ask .学生表演不同的天气并用what’s the weather like today ? 提问，其他同学回答。)
            （利用每日的师生对话，复习学过的知识。）
⒋ a  game    ——magic ears and quick response（顺风耳的快速反应）
老师轻声说单词(the weather, cold , hot , warm ,cool , sunny ,rainy ,cloudy, windy ,snowy )一学生大声说出单词，另两学生迅速找出此单词粘帖到小黑板上，速度快的获胜。
  
 
step 2 presentation and drill

1  老师表示出很热的样子，t：oh , look at miss li , what’s the weather like ?
   s: it’s hot .
   t： i like hot days . i can eat ice cream and i can swim .
   ask some to act and ask : what’s the weather like ?  the others answer and say:  i like….days ..i can… . or i don’t like … days . i can’t … .
让学生们各抒己见，谈谈对天气的喜好。

 2   t: ok ,boys and girls ,sometimes the weather is warm, sometimes the weather is cool, sometimes it is hot, and  sometimes is cold . the weather is different in a year , why ? because there are four seasons in a year . they are spring ,summer ,autumn and winter . ( 板书seasons ) 帮助学生理解season的含义。
 read it in different ways .
  新授四会单词: spring、summer、autumn、winter
   a  cai 出示与春天有关的图片    教授单词spring  （开小火车朗读单词， 用手笔画单词。）
 t： it’s spring . i like spring . spring is warm and nice .how about you ?

   b  cai出示与夏天有关的图片      教授单词summer （两人一组朗读单词， 用手笔画单词。）
 t： it’s hot in summer . i like summer . i can eat ice cream and i can swim in summer . what about you ?

   c  出示与秋天有关的图片  教授单词autumn （横排为单位朗读单词，用手笔画单词。）
  t： what’s the weather like in autumn .

  t:  yes. autumn is cool and nice .
   d  出示冬天的图片  教授单词winter （竖排为单位朗读单词，用手笔画单词。）
   t：what’s the weather like in winter.
  ss:  it’s cold in winter .

2、练习: t:“let’s sing a song now, it’s very easy. would you like to sing it ?

首先老师在黑板上写出四个音符1-3-5-i  i-5-3-1让同学们先将这四个音符唱出，然后请同学们将四个季节spring summer autumn winter .逐个放入（spring -spring –spring- spring   spring- spring-spring- spring.）……12345
        教师示范——学生跟唱——学生自唱
 3 a game  ----find  the friend (找朋友)
   a   老师说季节的单词spring , summer ,autumn ,winter  ，学生回答天气单词warm and nice ,hot ,cool ,cold 。或者老师说天气单词，学生说季节单词。
 
   b   cai展示不同服饰，然后出现季节图片，学生选择。

   a game——guess, guess, guess ！   (猜一猜)
            which season is it ?
   a   cai展示不同季节里人们的反映，学生猜一猜是哪一个季节，并运用句型it’s …  . i like /i don’t like  …. i / we can … .老师可先做示范以引导。

   a    who is the best actor ? 
     教师学生模仿季节里人们做的事情做出各种动作，ask “which season is it ?”其他学生回答“it’s spring/…  .it’s warm and nice /….i like /i don’t like  ….”
      评出最佳表演奖，最佳创意奖。

      老师可先任选两个季节描述，让学生猜。引导学生仿照描述其他季节，另外的学生作出猜测。

b.．一位学生形容季节，另一位学生说是哪一个季节。如：the house is white. the tree and grass are white.everything is white.
c.． 一位学生来到讲台上，老师拿出一幅图其他学生说出季节，这位学生做有关这个季节的动作。

d .说说唱唱。

⒉ 教师解释说明一些难点，如be careful（小心）等。
⒊ 分小组练读。
⒋ 分角色表演。

1 拿出画的季节画描述给同学听。
2 请同学上台描述。
3 评价。对学生的表演进行评价，给予肯定与鼓励，激发学生说英语的欲望。

老师事先把weather, spring, summer, autumn, winter, hot, cold ,warm , cool , rainy, sunny, cloudy, windy, snowy  写在卡片上，以小组为单位半分钟内，一个学生看卡片做口形，另一个猜并拼读，看一看哪个小组完成得多，胜者积分。

老师把有weather, spring, summer, autumn, winter, hot, cold ,warm , cool , rainy, sunny, cloudy, windy, snowy的卡片让一个抽并做动作，其他学生举手抢答，答对为小组积分。

⒈ 从已学的单词中找出含有字母组合au的单词，并让学生寻找其读音规律。然后出示新单词卡片caught，sauce，naughty，saucer，引导学生说说它们的共同点。
⒉ 听课文e部分录音，总结字母组合au的发音规律。
⒊ 听课文e部分录音，跟读，理解句子意思。
⒋ 示范词组warm and nice的书写，让学生们边读单词边书空，然后按照范例练习。
step 3 practice

⒈ 听录音，跟读。
⒉ 配上动作，有感情的朗读。
⒊ 集体或单个背诵。
⒋ 分组练习（可组织个人或小组诵读比赛）
step 4 consolidation
⒈ 鼓励学生们运用已学的语言材料自由创设情景，大胆进行会话。
⒉ 评价。对学生的表现进行评价。给予肯定与鼓励，激发学生说英语的欲望。
⒊ 练习（见《练习册》p32）
⒋ 家庭作业。
1） 听磁带，读课文。
2） 默写课文b部分单词。
3） 背诵课文a、f部分。
