teaching plan
ⅰ.teaching contents:
1. to help students to learn five new words:
   a bed, a sofa, a telephone , a bookcase, a desk.
2. to help students to review some words:
    a dog, a cat, a bird, a tiger,a monkey, a panda, a zebra,
    an elephant,a banana, a watermelon ,a peaches, a pear,
    an apple, an orange, a pineapple, 
3. to help students to use the structure : “this is….”
ⅱ.teaching aims:
1.to develop students’ basic skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.
2.to encourage students to practice, participate and co-operate in the classroom activities.
3.to use the structure correctly.
ⅲ. teaching difficulties:
students can use the sentence structure correctly while describe some pictures.
ⅳ. teaching importance:
to help students master the five new words and the structure.
ⅴ. teaching aids:
a multi-media computer system, words cards, some real objects and some pictures.
ⅵ. teaching procedure:
step 1: warming-up & lead-in
activity 1: sing songs (class work)
⑴《what’s your name?》
⑵《hi, nancy!》
(sing songs together)
activity 2: free talk (class work)
⑴ t: hello/hi, i’m miss yao . what’s your name?
   s1: i’m ….
   t: nice to meet you.
   s1: nice to meet you, too.
⑵ t: hello…, how are you?
   s2: i’m fine, thank you .and you?
   t: i’m fine, too.
⑶ t: what’s this?
   s3: it’s a/an ….
   t: what colour is it?
   s3: it’s ….
goal: it is important to form a better english learning surrounding for ss by sing and doing some total physical response. and at the same time it provides a situation to review learned knowledge for the last period.
step 2: presentation. (individual work)
task 1: present the new words& (individual work & class work)⑴ t: what’s this? (t point at the desk)
   s4: it’s a desk.
   t: very good! a red star is for you, thank you!
desk, desk, desk, d-e-s-k, desk. (use the different tones)
   ss: desk, desk, desk, d-e-s-k, desk.
   (t write the word on the bb)
 ⑵ t: now please look at the bb carefully .
what can you see on the bb? (t draws a telephone on bb)
s5: i can see….
t: ok! you can say it in chinese.
s5: 我能看见一个电话。
t: good! 电话。who can say it in english?
s6: i can see a telephone. (with t’s help)
t: very well! a red star is for you.
  telephone, please read after me!
ss: telephone.
(read it for three times)

t: telephone ,group 1 please read it one by one.

⑶  t shows the ppt (a man make a call in the sofa)
t: what can you see in the picture?
s10: i can see a telephone.
t: good! a red star is for you! you please!
s11: i can see a telephone.
t: good! what else can you see in the picture? who can try?
s12:i can see a sofa.
t: ok! you’re so clever. a red star is for you!

  t shows a picture (a bed)

t: you’re very good!

⑸ t picks up a book on the desk.
    t: what’s this?
    s13: it’s a book.
    t: good, where is the book?
    s14: it’s on the desk. (with the help)
    t: very well. now, let’s watch a flash《where is the book?》
   are you ready?
ss: yes!
   (a book is alike a leaf floating with the wind, at last, it in the bookcase.)
    t: where is the book?
   ss: 书架。(use the chinese)
    t: ok! who can say it in english? have a try please!
   s15: it’s on the bookcase. (with the help)
    t: very good! a red star is for you!
   read after  me, bookcase,case,case,bookcase.
ss: bookcase, case, case, bookcase.
    t: girls read it, boys please!
 (t writes the word on the bb)
 goal: ss know the meaning of the new words. they can read   and    pronounce the new words correctly.
task 2: play a guessing game (class work)
    t shows the ppt (a room without anything).then, appears a bed,a sofa, a desk, a telephone, a bookcase quickly. and disappear them quickly. ss will remind these words and read them.
   for example:
 t: what can you see?
s16: a desk/ bed/ sofa/ bookcase/ telephone.
t: good! a red star is for you!
t: this is a desk/ bed/ sofa/ bookcase/ telephone.
goal: to help ss review these new words and arouse the ss’ interest in english learning. and provide a situation to lead-in the structure.
task 3: present the structure (individual work & class work)
  t: this is a/an….
(t writes it on the bb)  (t shows a pear)
   t: this is a pear.(t stands near by the ss)12
