step1. warm-up/revision
1. greetings.
2. sing the songs. “an apple a day” and “they are in the zoo.”
3. use the cards to revise the fruit and animal words.
step2. presentation
1. listen to the tape. show the contents of the dialogue.
2. tpr. explain the words: get, carry, count, eat, strong.
step3. practice
1. read the dialogue and answer the questions. who can get the apples? what can the elephant get? how many pears are there in the picture? how many peaches are there in the picture? who has a peach?
2. listen to the tape and read the dialogue.
3. act the dialogue in groups / by themselves.
step4. assessment
1. revise the fruit words.
2. listen and write the numbers.(on page 41 of activity book)

2. the pupils can listen and colour the picture. then say the chant.

teaching steps:

4. game: guessing. revise the fruit and animal words.
5. sing the colour song. revise the colours.
step2. presentation
1. find and draw. find and say like this: the elephant likes bananas. write bananas in the blank.
2. listen, colour and say. listen to the tape and ask and answer: what can you find/ see in the picture? what are they? then colour the picture.
step3. practice
1. find and stick the pictures. then say like this: the elephant likes bananas.
2. ask and answer: what colour is it? it’s orange. is the boat purple/ pink? yes, it is. no, it isn’t.
step4. assessment
1. revise the sentences: where is it? it’s in/ on/ under --- 123
2. listen, match and draw. (on page42 of activity book.)
