1.四会:go along this street, and then turn right at the third crossing, the museum is on your left.
三会:how far is it from here? how many stops are there ? it’s about a kilometre away.
there are only two stops. there’s a bus every five minutes.

一、热身活动
sing ‘exercise me’ with me.
二、复part b单词
(t):here is a map of nanjing. what can you see in the picture?
(s1-sn):i can see a post office / a shopping centre / a primary school .
(t):what’s on the map?
(s1-sn):there’s a middle school / a train station / a history museum..
三、复习part c句型
(t):i ’m at…. i want to buy some presents for my son.how can i get to the shopping centre?
(t):i’m in front of…i want to visit my son in the middle school.how can i get there.?
(t):thank you!
(ss):that’s all right!
ask and answer in pairs.
四、呈现新知
(t):today we’ll continue to learn unit 3 asking the way.look at the picture,please.
how can i get to sanxing ? (s1):you can take bus no.207.
(t):how far is it from here? (s1):it’s about … kilometres away.
(t):how many stops are there ? (s1):there are …. stops.
practise the style between t and s1-2;in pairs;act it out.
五、听两遍课文,完成练习
(t):well done! today i want to introduce a new friend to you, who is he? please
look here.he is mr. smith. let’s say “hello” to him. (ss):hello!
(t):let’s listen to the tape and answer my questions .( 让学生听第一段录音两遍 )
questions : (1) where is mr. smith ? (2) where does he want to visit ?
(3) does he know the way to the history museum ? (4) who can help him ?

六、引出课文(明确到history museum的三步):
(t):very good! mr. smith wants to visit the history museum, but he doesn’t know the way. he is
asking yang ling how to get there. now let’slisten to their conversation, and then find the answer.
[ 播放磁带:he wants to visit ……you can’t miss it. ]
(t):ok! so how to get to the history museum? can you tell me the way to the history museum, please?have you found the answer? (ss):yes!
(t):who can give me your answer?
(s1-4):go along this street, and then turn right at the third crossing, the museum is on your left.12
(t):right? (ss):yes!
(t):ok! excuse me, can you tell me the way to the history museum, please?
(ss):go along this street, and then turn right at the third crossing, the museum is on your left.
(t) thank you!
七、明确到history museum的第二种方法(引出三会句型并操练):
(t):look at the map. mr. smith is here now,and the history museum is far from him.but how far is it from here? is there a bus to the history museum?listen to the tape.
[ 播放磁带:how far is it from here?……every five minutes. ]
questions: (1) is it far from here ? how far is it ? (2) how many stops are there ?
(3) where is no.9 bus stop ? (4)is there a bus at the bus stop?
(t):ok, who can tell us how far is the history museum from here?
(s1):it’s about a kilometre away.
[ 领读句型 ]
(t):a kilometre? that’s a long walk.[ 教师领读,大面积练读 a long walk]
(t):oh, that’s a long walk. is there a bus to there? (ss):yes! you can take bus no.5.
(t):oh, take bus no.5 will get there faster. but how many stops are there? (ss):only two.
(t):ok, that’s better! another way is: take bus no.5.there are only two stops. there’s a bus every five minutes.
八、回到课文(听完p23内容并回答相关问题):
(t):let’s go on with mr. smith. . listen to the tape, and then you should answer these questions:
[ 播放录音:i want to go to the post office,too……you’re welcome. ]
(t):ok, answer my questions:
(1) where else does mr. smith. want to go ? (2) where is the post office?
(3) how can mr. smith get to the post office?

九、跟读课文
(t):very good! i think you can understand the whole text, right? (ss):yes!
(t):now listen to the tape again, and read follow it.
十、练习朗读
(t):now read the text by yourself.
十一、巩固课文(分角色朗读课文一遍):
(t):ok, stop! now boys act mr. smith. and girls act yang ling, i read the preface, let’s read the text.
十二、根据挂图/板书,复述课文:
(t):let’s retell the text togeher.
