step1.   warm–up
1.  greetings .
  good afternoon ,boys and girls!
2.  singing . sing <<hi, nancy!>> (ppt)
      step2. presentation & practice
1.   make a dialogue .
t: (show a toy )  look ,this is peter . do you like him ?
t:(toy  peter) hello ,i’m peter. nice to meet you .
ss:hello,peter.
sa : hello ,peter, i’m ×××.
sb: good afternoon ,peter ,i’m ×××.
sc: nice to meet you ,peter.
t :nice to meet you ,too .
2.teach  and learn : how are you ?/fine ,thank you .
a. use the toys to teach the new structure. 
t(t holds up toy 1): hi, …. nice to meet you.
t(toy 2): hi, …. nice to meet you,too.
t : how are you ?
t : fine , thank you .
(twice )
b. follow the teacher and practise   hi, how are you ?
                   fine ,thank you .
c. practice in pairs .
d. check (pair work )
3.learn to say : fine ,thank you ,and (how are )you ? not bad ……
a.  toy 1: hi ,how are you ?
toy 2: fine ,thank you ,and (how are) you ?
toy 1: i’m fine ,too .
b.  read after the t.
mainpoints: and how are you ? and you ? i’m fine ,too .
c. ss say and practise .
(teach “not bad,not so good. i’m sorry” using the same method.)
4. read these sentences(ppt)
step3  consolidation
1.  read a chant (ppt)
2. do some exercises (ppt)
3. sing a song 《hello!how are you ?》
step4 homework
1. listen to the tape 3 times , recite and sing <<hello! how are you ?>>
2. use the sentences to make 2—3 dialogues with your partner.
