一、教学目标:
1.能听得懂、会说、会读和会拼写单词
be good at,do well in,higher, faster, earlier, better,stronger,than
2.能听得懂、会说、会读句型并能灵活运用

3.能正确掌握对话内容,并能初步朗读课文内容。
4. 通过创设民主,自然,宽松的课堂氛围,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,提高学生语言的运用能力
5.培养学生学习英语的兴趣,激发学生能热爱运动,热爱体育运动,从而能增强体质。
二、教学重难点:
1.教学重点是学生能听说读写单词be good at,higher, faster, earlier, better,stronger,than以及就副词比较级进行口语交际。
基本了解比较级的一般疑问句问法,及其回答。并能够流利朗读课文。
2.教学难点是学生能正确灵活地用英语进行交际。
三、课前准备
多媒体课件,单词卡片。
四.教学过程
step 1. warming up
  1.多媒体播放歌曲 “clap your hands”
(设计意图: 通过一首英文歌曲,激发学生的学习兴趣,调动学生学习的热情,由这首歌自然引出比较级,为后面的教学做铺垫。)
    2.free talk
 what date is it today?
what time do you get up today?
what lessons do you have on …?
what subject do you like best?
are you good at…?
(设计意图:通过询问与学生相关的,比较浅显的问题导入新的知识点,既消除学生与老师陌生感,又逐步展示新授的内容。)
step 2.presentation.
1.  呈现新词be good at
guess: what  am i good at ?学生讨论
2.  do well in
 i’m good at english, but i don’t do well in pe.what about you?
do you do well in pe?引导学生使用新句型。
3.  t:really?can you jump?
oh, you can jump higher than him ?
teach:higher  than
t:you really jump higer than him. i think you’ll be a good basketball player, just like yao ming.
learn to say: i can jump higher than him.
4. who can read faster than him?
teach : faster
 5. t: i think you read very fast. can you run fast?
can you swim fast? no.
ok.let’s do more exercise. you’ll get stronger.
learn to read: more ,stronger
(设计意图:通过师生之间问答和跳跳蹦蹦,逐步感知副词的比较级,真正体现让学生在做中学,学中用)
6.let’s chant.
7. so please do more exercise or you’ll be very fat,just like my son , see? this is my son.. let’ s know more about him.学习that’s true.
(设计意图:通过听录音,设计真实的情景,了解老师孩子的实际问题,借助帮助儿子解决实际问题来掌握副词比较级的用法,既自然又真实。)
t:can you help my son. he’s fat. he always goes to school late. what should he do?please discuss in pairs.give him some helpful advice.
8.now, let’s see another boy jim. he has the same problem.   first , look at the questions. then  listen.12
 step 3.practise
answer the questions.
read after it sentence by sentence.
do some exercises:true or faulse.
read it by themselves.
finish the blanks.
(设计意图:处理课文时从问题入手,由浅入深,遵循学生认知规律,通过多种形式的练习及其朗读,让学生感知课文,尝试用自己的语言表达。)
step4.consloidation
from this passage, we know ,jim wants to get stronger.
do you want to get stronger,too?do more exercise,let’s welcome the olympic,ok?
talk about your plans.
(设计意图:将自己的锻炼计划与北京奥运相联系,增强学生爱国和爱运动热情)
step5.homework
1. listen to part a five times.
2.copy the new phrases.
