2. enable the ss to listen, say, read and write the 4-skilled sentences: is there …? yes, there is./ no, there isn’t.
ability aims:
enable the ss to use the drills “is there …? yes, there is./ no, there isn’t.” in daily life.
  emotion aims:
1. excite their study motivation. help them establish good study habit, such as listeing, speaking, reading and writing habit.
2. train the ss’ sense of loving nature and protecting the environment.
teaching importances:
to grasp the drills of the following in daily life:
is there a …? yes, there is./ no, there isn’t.
teaching difficulties: 
1) to use the drills in daily life:
is there a …? yes, there is./ no, there isn’t.
2) to write the sentences correctly.
  teaching procedure:
step 1: warming up
1) make self-introduction and greet the ss.
begin the lesson with enjoying some beautiful pictures. introduce the pictures to them: the grass is green. the sky is blue. there is a river/ mountain… the river flows. ask: is there …?
2) chant on p68.
step 2: presentation
1) use cai to flash a picture about a nature park. ask the ss to guess what’s in the nature park. guide the ss to ask with the sentence “is there …?”. praise the ss who can guess in english.
show the picture. ask two ss to ask and answer accoring to the picture.
then write the important sentences on the bb:
          a: is there a …?
          b: yes, there is./ no, there isn’t.
ask the ss to show their fingers and write the sentences with t. then let them make a dialogue in pairs. check some pairs.
2) let’s chant:
is there a river? is there a river?
yes, there is. yes, there is.
is there a forest? is there a forest?
no, there isn’t. no, there isn’t.
is there a path?  is there a path?
yes, there is. yes, there is.
is there a lake? is there a lake?
no, there isn’t. no, there isn’t.
the first time ask the ss to look at cai and listen. then ask them to clap and chant.
3. show a holiday picture. introduce: look! this is a holiday picture. ask the ss to read the words we’ve learned: dog hot closet. guide the ss to read the word “holiday”. (ask the ss to read.) so on with the word “picture”. ( “fish” “ it” “ river” to “picture” ) then check the phrase “holiday picture”
  4. this is a beautiful holiday picture. our friend wu yifan has a beautiful holiday picture, too. let’s have a look. before watching, i have 2 questions:12
  is there a forest in the park?
  is there a river in the park?
  ask the ss to look, listen and answer the 2 questions.
  check the answers. (ask the ss to read the questions and answer the questions.)
  ask the ss: the nature park is very beautiful. i love nature park very much. do you love nature park? do you want to go to the nature park? we should love nature park, love nature and protect the envioronment.
5. ask the ss to open the books at p72. ask the ss to read the dialogue quietly and finish the sentences. check the answers. 
step3 practice
1. ask the ss to listen to the tape and repeat.
2. ask 2 little teachers: 1 is wu yifan, the other is sarah.
3. read the dialogue in groups, then exchange.
4. practise in pairs, then check the ss. 
5. ask the ss to take out their exercise-books and copy the 4-skilled sentences in red for once. praise the ss whose handwriting is beautiful.
step 4 production
1. guide the ss: we have known a lot of things in the nature park. do you know what’s on the moon? i have a dialogue about the moon. ask the ss to read the dialogue and write t or f.
a: is there a river on the moon?
b: no, there isn’t.
a: is there a lake?
b: no, there isn’t.
a: is there a park?
b: no, there isn’t.
a: is there a mountain?
b: yes, there is.
a: cool!
(1) there is a mountain on the moon. (        )
(2) there is a lake on the moon. (        )
(3) there isn’t a river on the moon. (        )
(4) there isn’t a park on the moon. (        )
  2. ask some ss to read the sentences and say the answers.
  step 5 ending
  today’s homework: listen to the tape and try to recite the dialogue.
