1、节日类单词的正确读音,单词的拼写。
2、能利用所学词组和句型谈论节日和节日中人们的活动。

step 1 warm up
1. free talk
t: hello, i’m mr. jin. nice to meet you.
class begins. (humor)
t: this is my first time to be here.
can you tell me the date?
t: what’s the date today? s: it’s the 8th of november.
t: yes. today is sunny. all of us are happy.
2.t: here are some other dates
(1)t: what’s the date?
s: the 24th of october t: yes, it is the 24th of october (video) t: do you know something about chang ’e? on the 24th of october, we were very excited, because we launched the satellite. it can go to the moon.
(2)t: let’s look at the second one. what’s the date?
s: the 8th of august
t: good. it’s an exciting day. the olympic games will be held in china. “one world, one dream”. many people all over the world will come to beijing. we hope the day will come soon.

2. learn the new words

1. t: today we learned a lot of holidays. now let’s play a game, look and guess. i’ll see which group can win this red flag.(practice) (look and guess)
