     on saturday morning, shi yan meets joe on jichuan road.
shi yan: hi, joe. where are you going?
joe: i’m going to the gym. i know you study harder than other classmates. you should relax yourself. do you want to go with me?
shi yan: great! where’s tommy?
joe: a lazy guy! he’s sleeping now. i get up earlier than him every day.
shi yan: en… by the way, does tommy run slower than you?
joe: oh, no. he runs faster than me.
shi yan: wow, the gym is so wonderful!
joe: yeah. and we have personal trainers. look, this is spinning, my favourite sport. i do well in it. you can ride it with music. it’s powerful. 
shi yan: i think so. i want to try next time. my mother wants to do exercise and lose weight. could you give her some advice?
joe:     er… yoga and pilates are very popular now. your mother can have a try.
shi yan: thanks. i’ll tell her. see you! have a good time!
joe: see you tomorrow!

mike: i don’t agree(同意) with you. i think you jump very high and jump higher than me. does ann swim faster than you?
lucy: no, she doesn’t. i’m good at swimming and i swim faster than some children.
mike: how i admire you! can you teach me?
lucy: no problem.
mike: shall we walk to school or jog to school in the morning?
lucy: sounds great! and we do after-school activities(课后活动)in the afternoon. ok?
mike: perfect(好极了)! it’s good for our health.
lucy: thanks. a friend in need is a friend indeed(患难之交见真情).

ben: what happens?
mary: en, i’m doing badly in pe. jimmy swims faster than me .tommy runs faster than me and he is a good football player. i’m so bad.
ben: don’t worry. do more exercise. practice makes perfect(熟能生巧). i think you’ll get stronger and do well in pe.
mary: yeah, but it’s too difficult.
ben: no cross, no crown. i believe you!
mary: thanks a lot. i’ll try my best. do you want to join me?
ben: haha... that’s a good idea.
