how are you feeling now?
why?
what do you do on the weekend?
do you like sports?
what’s your favorite sport?
how about playing football?
can you play football?
how do you feel when you are playing football?
(与学生的口语交流既达到了复习巩固旧知的目的，更训练了高段学生用英语思维的能力，锻炼了他们的口语能力;同时为引出新知做好了铺垫。)

1.简介足球比赛的规则，了解football match, goal, win the game
t: how many groups are there in a football match?
how many players are there in one group?
在教师的几个问题后，可让班上的足球爱好者简单介绍足球规则。
1． 动作引出词组bounce the ball, pass the ball, kick the ball
教师拿出足球： who can bounce the ball?
who can pass the ball?
who can kick the ball?
教师可让学生一边做做动作一边说一说
a) 教师播放let’s read录音，让学生带着以下问题仔细听
l this is a football match between ______ and ______.
l before the game starts the students feel ______.
l when the ball flies into john’s face he feels ______.
l when the game over class 3 feels ______.
b) 指导学生正确朗读，并能独立完成课后问题
c) 播放足球录像，要求能用简洁的语言为比赛配音。在小组讨论准备后（可有一定的书面材料），展示配音，评出“最佳英语足球讲解员”
(此环节调动了学生的多种感官，实现了动耳、动眼、动口、动手及动脑的综合锻炼，培养了学生良好的学习习惯和语言表达能力。语言学习真正实现了“学中用，用中学”的理念。)
b. story time
1． 听录音给故事正确排序
教师先将故事图片打乱顺序，要求学生在听完录音后将图片正确排序。
2． 听录音跟读回答问题
how does zip feel? why?
how does zoom feel first? why?
how does zoom feel later? why?
3． 分角色朗读
（story time 的内容可在学生理解大意的基础上，重点训练学生的阅读能力及灵活运用语言的能力。）
c. consolidation /assessment（巩固/检测评价）
a. 完成本课时的配套作业
d. add-activities（课外活动）
a. 听磁带跟读，并能正确朗读。
观看一场足球比赛，模仿讲解员用英语进行简单配音。
