step1 warming-up
1 、free talk
【操作方式】运动是学生非常喜爱和熟悉的话题，可以利用这个话题展开热身活动，向学生展示有关奥运会的图片，从而导入本课主题。
问题1、 t：what event do you know in the picture？
      s：it is olympic games
      t：in XX，the olympic games was held in china 。it is an exciting event 。we chinese did well in it 。
问题2、 t：do you like watching olympic games？
问题3、t：what is your favourite sport？
问题4、t：which olympic sports do you know？

【设计意图】导入是课堂教学的热身活动，创设相关的教学氛围，引导学生在短时间内投入到课堂教学活动中去。教师应努力使其能产生“一石激起千层浪”的效果。
2、 listening
listen and number the sports as you hear them
【操作方式】 播放录音，学生跟录音找结果，然后小组核对。
 【设计意图 】本活动不仅练习学生的听力，而且让学生体会到词汇的意义，迅速进入思维活动状态，为activity 2作铺垫。
step 2 new teaching
 1 、ｍatch the sentences with the picture s.
【操作方式 】个体活动，教师向学生呈现书上的六幅图片，教师提问，借此展示或复习描述性形容词的含义及其比较级。

【设计意图 】通过这一环节的设计，帮助学生熟悉并熟练掌握本节课所涉及到的一些运动及对每一项运动的描述并根据运动特点，判断形容词的意思，并向学生展示多音节形容词的比较级。
2、 say out these opposite opinions.
【操作方式】 组织学生开展小组活动，共同解决单词的含义，然后进行反义词匹配，教师检查。
（1）gymnastics is easy.
（2） table tennis is unpopular.
（3） basketball is boring.
（4） cycling is relaxing.
（5） running is expensive.
（6 ）skiing is safe.
【设计意图 】掌握描述性形容词及其反义词。
3、 listening （activity 4 and activity 5）
【操作方式】 教师提出活动要求，要求学生在听activity 4 时，将注意力集中在activity 5 的信息上，然后学生集体听对话，听完后，个个体完成对话，教师获取反馈信息。

4、 listen and read.
【操作方式】 让学生听，然后分角色朗读课文，模仿正确，优美的语音语调，并解释语言点。
（1） chinese people are very good at gymnastics.（中国人非常擅长体操）
be good at sth/doing sth （擅长做某事）
e．g tony is good at english.
     kate is good at playing the piano.
（2） 多音节形容词的比较级：more +adj+than+比较对象
   e．g table is more popular than gymnastics.
       running is more boring than basketball.
（3） either ，also，too 也
  区别：either 用于否定句末。we will not go to the park，either。
        also 用于肯定句中，位于be 动词后，实义动词前
        we also buy new clothes.
        he is also swimming.
        too 用于肯定或疑问句末。
        chinese people are good at table tennis ，too.
【 设计意图】通过这一环节，让学生更好的理解课文，为以后的学习做知识准备。
step3 practice
【操作方式 】把全班学生分成两大组，找一个计时员，进行一个小竞赛，要求学生在尽短的时间内，把本课出现在的形容词与其反义词搭配，用时短的小组获胜，并给予记分奖励。

3、 有语法的讲解上，用学生所熟知的运动作比较，印象更深刻。
4、 最后一个环节是小竞赛，巩固本课所学，课堂气氛活跃，让学生在练习中获得成就感。
5、 将评价引入课堂，引导学生在学习过程中进行自我评价，并根据需要调整自己的学习目标和学习策略。
6、 注意师生间的情感交流，体现语言的交际功能。

张老师：整个活动中，王老师对学生作了很多鼓励和表扬，能调动学生的积极性，使大家都积极地参与到使用英语的活动中。使全班学生敢于发言，敢于发表自己的态度，敢于创新。

王老师：我觉得应该提出一点改进的地方，对于形容词比较级的结构做一个简单的公式化概括，这样更加便于学生记忆。另外，语法的讲解最好用汉语来讲，可以使基础较差的学生也能跟上老师的节奏。
