step ⅰ.review 1. review the text of unit 2. 2. grammar :1) 形容词、副词的最高级            2) by + means of transport step ⅱ. reading 1. read through the example sentences in the box with the whole class .  2. revise anything that seems problematic . stepⅲ. practice1.write questions in activity 1. 1) how far do you travel to school ?                             2) how long does your journey take ?                                3) how much is your fare ?                                          4) is your journey comfortable ? 2. complete the word map. use these words in activity 4 . 3. complete the sentences with correct form of the adjectives in activity 5. 4. work in pair. answer the questions according to the table in activity 6 . 1) how comfortable is the journey from beijing to jinan by plane / by train / by bus? 2) how popular is the journey from beijing to jinan by plane / by train / by bus? stepⅳ. around the world 1. ask the students to look at the picture and tell what they can see . 2. read the text and answer any questions the students have . step ⅴ. homeworkrecite words do the exercise1 on p grammar 1.一般单音节adj 的比较级多在原形上加-er,最高级加-est. 2.辅音字母加y结尾时去y变i再加-er或-est. 3. 以不发音的e结尾时加-r/st. 4. 重读闭音节结尾的词,如末尾是一个辅音字母,双写这个辅音字母,再加-er或-est. 5.不规则adj的比较级与最高级 12whole-class work: look at the pictures and answer some questions.
