任务一：come over!
邀请同学到家里玩，为其描述路径并画一张简单的路径图，在地图上标出标志性建筑物。
任务二：地图不见了！（the map is gone!）
接到邀请的同学应邀前往，但路径图不见了，让学生凭记忆问路。
任务三：描述一个地点 (describing a place ）
以组为单位，合作描述一个大家熟悉的地点，让其他同学猜是什么地方。猜的人可以问问题，但回答只有“yes”或“no”。

  学校内部的布局总有让学生满意和不满意的地方。给学生一个“规划”校园的机会，让学生设计出自己理想的校园，并接受其他同学的提问。
sample 1 认识居住的小区
teacher: where do you live? can you draw a map of your neighborhood? would you like to describe your neighborhood to us?
 操作方法：
课前任务：要求学生画一张自己住所及周边环境的示意图，供上课使用。
学生两人一组展开活动使用课前准备的地图向同伴介绍自己所居住的环境。
同伴一边聆听介绍，一边在地图上指出相应的路线。
结对活动后，每组的a号同学代表本组发言，向全班同学介绍自己所居住的环境，全班同学做记录。其他同学还可以对发言者的表现给予简单的评价。
完成任务所需要的语言结构：

sample 2 设计自己理想的住所蓝图
teacher: are you satisfied with your neighborhood? what is your ideal neighborhood? please ask your friend some questions about his / her ideal neighborhood and take a note. please don’t look at each other"s pictures.
操作方法：
课前任务学生设计自己理想的住所及周边环境图供上课使用。
学生两人一组展开活动，通过相互问答的方式，调查出同伴理想中的居住地及周边环境，并与自己的地图进行比较，对比。将相同与不同点简单地记录下来。123
前后桌学生展开活动，汇报自己的调查成果，包括自己与同伴理想的居住地相同的地方和不同的地方。
老师抽查几名学生，让其将自己理想的居住地在全班同学面前描述出来，并结合自己的地图，找出哪位同学的设计与自己的相似。

sample 3 制作一个精美的道路指南手册
teacher: have you brought your guide here? do you want more people to come for a visit? now introduce the neighborhood to your partner and persuade him or her to be here.
操作方法：
课前任务：学生根据自己的意愿，或进行实地考察或参考其他书目、地图，制作任意一个地区（可以是一个自己喜爱的地区，也可以是自己熟悉的地区）的道路指南，最好标出东南西北方向。
学生取出事先制作好的道路指南图，开展小组活动。首先由一名同学介绍自己的道路图的内容，其他同学认真聆听，介绍完毕之后，其他同学可以自由提问，询问相关地点及各个场所的位置关系。
或学生取出事先制作好的道路指南图（地图上没有任何建筑物），全组成员轮流描述自己的地图，其他人边听边在地图上标出建筑物的位置，全面在本组内进行对照。
完成任务所需要的语言结构：

操作方法：
   此活动为四人一组的小组活动学生制作某一个著名旅游景点及周边环境的平面地图向同伴做介绍，告诉同伴其所处位置及相临的建筑物。
   老师可以找学生做一个范例，请一位学生根据自己的图完成老师布置的任务，告诉同学们如何完成此任务。如果学生水平好，老师可以先让学生直接开展活动，发现问题再停下来示范更有针对性。
