Where were you born?

要点解析

Be born 出生

Born是及物动词bear(生育)的过去分词形式。Be born用作谓语时,要用was/were born的形式。如果说某人出生于某一天,则用介词on;如果说出生于某年或某月,则用in;如果说出生于某地,也用介词in.例如:

I was born on August 30, 1981.

我出生于1981830日。

You were born in May and he was horn in October.

我出生于5月,他出生于10月。

She was horn in Shanghai.

她出生于上海。

请看以下用疑问词whenwhere引导的特殊问句与答语的语序;

1) --when were you born?

--你何时出生?

--I was born on October 1, 1985.

--我于1985101日出生。

2) --where were you born?

--你何地出生?

--I was born in Beijing.

--我在北京出生?

3) --when and where were you born?

--你何时何地出生?

--I was born in Beijing on October 1, 1985.

--我于1985101日在北京出生。

Enjoy vt. 喜欢;享受的乐趣。

后跟名词或代词;如果跟动词,则要用动名词的形式,即enjoy doing sth….例如:

I enjoy (=like) the book.

我喜欢这本书。

We enjoy the English Evening.

我们喜欢这次英语晚会。

--Do you enjoy the picture?

--你喜欢这张图片吗?

--Yes, I enjoy it very much.

--是的,我很喜欢。

Wang Fang enjoy reading and Li Hong enjoys watching TV.

王芳喜欢读书,李红喜欢看电视。

Find work 找到工作

Work是不可数名词,不可用不定冠词。

I"m looking for work, but I can"t find it.

我正找工作,但没找到。

He found work in a school.

他在一所学校找到了工作。

Have a rest 休息

Have a short/a little rest 休息一小会儿

Have a good rest 好好休息

1)I must have a rest after lunch.

午饭后我必须休息。

2) Let"s have a rest.

我们休息一会儿吧。

3) The doctor said, " Drink a lot of water and have a good rest."

医生说:"多喝水,好好休息。"

Have 此处不作""的意思。"have+a +(与动词同源的名词)"整个短语基本上相当于一个动词。例如:

Have a talk 谈话

Have a drink 喝点饮料

Have a look 看一看,瞧一瞧

Have a walk 散步

Have a swim 游泳

以下短语have 在不同的搭配中,也有不同的意思:

have breakfast/lunch/supper/dinner 吃早饭/午饭/晚饭/正餐

have a good time 玩得愉快

have lessons/classes 上课

have a cold 感冒

have a glass of water 喝杯水

have sports 参加体育活动

Mean vi. 意思是

后跟名词、代词或宾语从句。

what does it mean?

它的意思是什么?

What does this word mean?

这个词是什么意思?

What does this sentence mean in English?

这句话的英文意思是什么?

Move vt. & vi 搬动;移动

Move to 搬到;迁到

Move there 搬到那里

move the book off the chair, please. I want to sit here.

请把书从椅子上搬开。我要坐在这儿。

Don"t move the things on my table.

别动我桌子上的东西。

They moved to a large house.

他们搬到一所大房子里。

He moved to Shanghai.

他迁到上海去了。

Nobody knows where the family moved to.

没人知道这家人搬到哪儿去了。

We moved there for a month.

我们搬到那儿一个月了。

Reach vt. 到达。

后边直接跟宾语,不同于get (to), come (to).

He reached London last night.

昨天晚上他到达伦敦。

When he reached China, he wrote a letter to me.

当他到了中国就给我写了封信。

All day 整天;全天

they worked all day.

他们整天工作。

After studying at home all day, I wanted to have a good rest.

We were in a park all day last Friday.

Because conj. 因为

引导原因状语从句。

1)--Why were you away yesterday?

--你昨天为什么不在?

--Because I was ill.

--因为我病了。

2) I stayed at home last week because I had to look after my mother.

上周我呆在家里因为我要照顾我母亲。

3) he kept busy all day because he had a lot of work to do .

他整天都很忙因为他有很多工作要做。

On one"s way home 在某人回家的路上

On one"s way to… 在某人去往的路上

on his way to school he met his teacher.

在上学路上他遇见老师。

on her way to the station she met an old man.

在去车站的路上她遇见一位老人。

on my way home I bought some fruit and vegetables.

在回家的路上我买了些水果和蔬菜。

on Mary"s way home she picked up a bag.

在玛丽回家的路上捡了一个包。

Quick adj. 快的;迅速的

Quickly adv 快;迅速

Quick作定语,修饰名词,也可放在be动词或其他连系动词之后作表语。

Quickly修饰动词作状语。

Be quick!

快点!

He gave me a quick answer.

他很快给我一个答复。

Some children are very quick.

有些孩子很敏捷。

Come quickly!

快来!

Write down these words quickly.

快记下这些生词。

He quickly finished the work.

他很快完成了这项工作。

I quickly reached home.
