第一步：自由阅读邀请信，分析出要做演讲的场合和对象，确定所写演讲稿的语言基调。
第二步：根据书中第三步所给的提示要点，完成演讲稿。这一步的关键在于不能让学生误以为就是把书中的要求罗列出来，而是要引导他们怎么样把握其中的逻辑性和遣词造句上的连贯性。
第三步：演讲活动，评比优胜三名, 多鼓励学生上台发言。
第四步：可以根据别人的演讲来完善自己的，互相学习，共同进步。
第五步：完成练习 4，介绍纪念地震的新邮票。这部分练习是对上面演讲的一个延续，让学生更能身临其境，在同一个语言环境中来做练习，能更加培养学生的语感。
