i fell in love with you.
why this word does this,
i haven"t got a clue.3.sweetheart,
my thoughts are deep into you
from the moment that i wake up
and to the whole day through
happy valentine"s day  4. thank you for standing behind me
in all that i do
i hope you"re as happy with me
as i am with you

 5. if i could save time in a bottle
the first thing that i"d like to do
is to save every day until eternity passes away
just to spend them with you123if i could make days last forever
if words could make wishes come true
i"d save every day like a treasure and then
again i would spend them with you   6. to sweetheart or friend,

and knowing that you"re near
that gentle touch you have
make my troubles disappear   9.the new colossusgive me your tired, your poor,
your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.
the wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
i lift my lamp beside the golden door. 10.  rain the rain is raining all around,      it falls on field and tree. it rains on the umbrellas here, and on the ships at sea. r..l.stereson     11. who has seen the wind?who has seen the wind? neither i nor you. but when the leaves hang trembling, the wind is passing through. who has seen the wind? neither you nor i. but when the trees bow down their heads, the wind is passing by.       12.  oread whirl up, sea? whirl your pointed pines, slash your great pine on our rocks, hurl your green over us, cover us with your pools of fir. 13.the little star  j. taylor twinkle, twinkle, little star, how i wonder what your are! up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky. when the blazing sun is set, and the grass with dew is wet, then you show your little light, twinkle, twinkle, all the night. then the traveler in the dark, thanks you for your tiny spark, he could not see where to go if you did not twinkle so. in the dark blue sky you keep, and often through my curtains peep, for you never shut your eye till the sun is in the sky. as your bright and tiny spark lights the traveler in the dark, though i know not what you are, twinkle, twinkle, little star.    14. the golden sunset   h. w. longfellow the golden sea its mirrow spreads beneath the golden skies, and but a narrow strip betweenof land and shadow lies. the cloud-like rocks, the rock-like clouds dissolved in glory float, and midway of the radiant flood, hangs silently the boat, the sea is but another sky, the sky a sea as well, and which is earth and which is heaven, the eye can scarcely tell.    15. .if all the skies were sunshine  h. van dyke if all the skies were sunshine, 123our faces would be fain to feel once more upon them the cooling splash of rain. if all the world were music, our hears would often long for one sweet strain of silenceto break the endless song. if life were always merry, our souls would seek relief and rest from weary laughter in the quiet arms of grief.      16. . the coming of spring  anon i am coming, little maiden, with the pleasant sunshine laden, with the honey for the bee, with the blossom for the tree. every little stream is bright, all the orchard trees are white, and each small and waving shoot, has for thee sweet flowers or fruit. 17.  trees   j. kilmer i think that i shall never see a poem lovely as a tree. a tree whose hungry mouth is prest against the earth抯 sweet flowing breast; a tree that looks at god all day, and lifts her leafy arms to pray; a tree that may in summer wear a nest of robins in her hair; upon whose bosom snow has lain; who intimately lives with rain.   poems are made by fools like me,but only god can make a tree. 18. the arrow and the song         h. w. longfellow   i shot an arrow into the air, it fell to earth, i knew not where, for, so swiftly it flew, the sight could not follow it in its flight.   i breathed a song into the air, it fell to earth, i knew not where, for who has sight so keen and strong, that it cat follow the flight of song? long, long afterwards, in an oak i found the arrow, still unbroke; and the song, from beginning to end, i found again in the heart of a friend.    iv.        ask ss for more questions about the poems.homework:ask ss to find more short english poems to learn .                           class is over.                              123
