1.       形容词比较级

在英语中形容词的比较级有三个等级，即原级（positive degree），比较级（comparative degree）和最高级(superlative degree)，6b中所学的是原级及比较级。

一般来说，表示“等于”时用原级，它的结构是as+原级+as。如：i’m as tall as my twin brother.我和我的双胞胎兄弟一样高。表示二者的比较时用比较级，它的结构是比较级+than。如：my father is younger than my uncle.我的父亲比我的伯父年轻。

  英语中有些形容词的比较级等级变化是不规则的。这些形容词有：

good / well – better      bad / ill — worse    little / few — less

far — farther / further   old — older / elder   late — later (迟的) / latter(后面的)

 

2.    whose和who’s的区别。whose是who的所有格形式，意为“谁的”，而who’s是who is的缩略形式，意为“谁是”。如：who’s younger,you or su yang? 谁更小，你还是苏阳？

   但whose与who’s同音，都读作/hu:z/。whose用来对物主代词及名词所有格进行提问：

1)     提问形容词性的物主代词。如：

these are my bananas. →whose bananas are these?

2) 提问名词性的物主代词。如： that bedroom is mine. →whose is that bedroom?

3) 提问名词所有格（不包括of构成的所有格）。如：

tom’s mother is a good teacher. → whose mother is a good teacher?
