teaching aims:
by learning this lesson ,students are expected to :
   1) learn some useful language points;
   2) know more about western festival;
   3) improve thei r abilities on listening, reading and speaking.
teaching importance:
1) new words : easter ; hunt ; basket ; hide ; hen
2) important sentences (structures): ha ve fun (in) doing sth. ; that egg will      be gone
3) phrases: make....for.... ; hunt for.... ;
4) the understanding of the text
teaching difficulties:
!) the understanding of difficult sentences ;
2) how to describe holidays in the daily life

1) stimulating by pictures ;
2)story lead-in ;

teaching proced ures:
step 1. greetings and revision

t: we have learnt lots about scientific experiment, let"s learnt something different today.first , let"s review some important language points we have learnt before.
step 2.lead-in

2) tell the story about the easter to the students.
step 3.new materials
1)learn new words
2)think about the following questions:
 have you ever seen an easter egg? if yes, where?
 when is easter?
 how do people celebrate easter?
 what does danny buy for easter?
 listen to the english tape and try to understand the main idea.
3)group discussion.
  discuss the following statements and finish them.
1.an easter egg hunt is a game for finding eggs.                                      
2.danny is making an easter egg hunt for his friend brian.                                 123
3.jenny brought an easter basket.    
4.they hide chocolate eggs behind rocks and under trees.                                 
5. debbie doesn’t find those chocolate eggs.

 hunt  v. &n. 打猎,搜寻
e.g.:    mr. black often goes hunting.
        布莱克先生经常去打猎。(hunt v. 打猎)
hunt for sth.相当与look for sth.
e.g.:    我到处寻找我的钢笔.
 i am looking for my pen ev erywhere
 i am hunting for my pen everywhere
 i’m hunting for my lost b ook.
 我在寻找丢失的那本书。(hunt v. 寻找)
 let’s have a ball hunt.
 咱们做一个找球的游戏吧。(hunt n. 寻找)
  make for…为……安排,设计。
 make是一个多义词。咱们来归纳一下该词的用法:
 the girl is making paper flowers.
 那个女孩在折纸花。(make制作,造)
 he had to sell vegetables to make living.
 他不得不卖菜谋生。(make获取,赚得)
 you should  make the bed yourself.
 你应当自己整理床铺。(make整理,收拾)
 please make fire for him.
 请为他生上火。(make布置,准备)
 the news made us very happy.
 那消息使我兴奋异常。(make使,使成为)
 five and five makes ten.
 五加五等于十。(make使,构成)
 debbie will have fun looking for them.
   寻找它们将会让戴比很开心.
have fun 意为“玩得高兴,愉快”
have fun (in) doing sth “做某事让(某人)感到愉快”
e.g.:在晚会上,我们又唱又跳,玩得很开心。
we have fun singing and dancing at the party.
e.g.: 在海里游泳,孩子们玩的很开心。
the children have fun swimming in the sea.
 that egg will be gone! 彩蛋不翼而飞!
gone为动词go的过去分词,在本句中转变为形容词,表示状态,消失了,不见了。
e.g.:i looked for the boy, but he was gone.
我刚才找那个孩子,但他不知哪里去了。
the book jack put here is gone.123

用下列词语的正确形式填空

step 5 let"s do it !
  using paper, crayons and markers, draw an egg. make beautiful patterns and color your egg brightly. cut it out with scissors. then choose a festival and write it down on your eggs, describe the festivals in english to your classmates and see who can guess which festival you are describing. if right, give your egg to him or h er, if wrong , let him or her describe a new one.

   sum all the important points mentioned in this class again.
step 7. homework
choose your favourite festival and try to write an small articl e to describe it. try to make your article interesting.
