what do you know about william shakespeare? he was a playwright, and the best poet that ever lived in england. he wrote many famous plays like romeo and juliet, the merchant of venice, king john, and henry vi. the most famous play we have ever read is hamlet, one of his four great tragedies.( the other three are othello, king lear and macheth.)

shakespeare died in stratford on april 23, 1616. since the 19th century, shakespeare’s achievements have been more recognized, and throughout the western world he has come to be regarded as the greatest dramatist.
