第一步：学生浏览 exercise 1 的题目，以对本文的主要内容有一定了解；
第二步：学生阅读课文，完成 exercise 1；
第三步：老师与学生一起讨论 exercise 1 的答案，了解学生对文章的理解，遇到 false 的题，让个别学生解释为什么不对并改正；
第四步：学生阅读全文，完成 exercise 2（老师告诉学生关于一些年代的信息，如 1942，1944，1950 和 1954 课本中是没有的）并要求学生记忆相关的信息，随后要向大家介绍 elias 的生平）；
第五步：师生一起讨论 exercise 2，并邀请一些学生向大家简要介绍一下本文主人公；
第六步：学生根据自己的理解划分课文段落，并概括段落大意。
suggested answer:
part i paragraph 1-2

part ii paragraph 3-5

homework:
1. learning about language on page 35;
2. using words and expressions on page 70, workbook.
