learning aims:
1. to learn about several unexplained mysteries of
the natural world.
2. to master the usage of may/might; (not) likely
learning process:
ⅰ. introduction
as we know, there are some unexplained mysteries in the natural world. have you ever heard of or read about any monsters? tell the rest of the class, if any.
ⅱ. fast reading
read the passage and do the exercises on page 52 exercise 1 and p53 exercise 4.
ⅲ. careful reading
read the passage and finish different tasks, meanwhile underline the difficult words, phrases and sentences.
1. read paragraph 1-3 and do the following exercises.
⑴ answer the following questions.
① how many sightings of the monster does the article report?
② who saw the monster clearly, and why?
③. which description of the monster is most detailed?
⑵ complete the following sentences.
